Lessons from the Christmas Story

The Christmas Story is one of the most popular stories in the bible.  The young virgin Mary receives a promise from God that she will give birth to the Messiah. The trust Joseph has to have in order to follow through with the marriage. The journey to Bethlehem and the birth in the manger.  There is so much to be mined from this story that applies to our everyday life. Join us over the next 3 weeks as we dig into the Christmas story and discover some of the most important lessons for our Christian life.

The Praise Effect

Praise can be defined as "expressing gratitude for who God is, what He has done, what He is doing, and what He is going to do.  Praise is much more than what we do at the beginning of a church service.  Praise is how we live our lives. The praise we release echoes through time.  It has the ability to not only set us free from the chains that bind us, but it also has the ability to set others free as well. Join us over the next 4 weeks as we discover The Praise Effect!

Trust the Process

Process: A systematic series of actions directed to some end or a continuous action, operation, or series of changes taking place in a definite manner .  In this message, Tommy Spence shares how the process of losing weight parallels with our spiritual walk with the Lord. There are four areas that affect the spiritual growth process in our lives.

#1-What are we eating?  #2- What are we drinking.  #3-Are we exercising? #4-Are we resting?

  Trust the Process

The word Re-present means, to present (something) again, especially for further consideration or in an altered form.  Time is a gift from God.  Our talents are a gift form God.  Our treasure is a gift from God.  And our money is a gift from God!  But how we re-present them can be our gift to Him!

Proverbs 18:21 says "The tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat it's fruits."  In this series, we will take a look at the power of our spoken words.  We will look at how they impact our thoughts and our beliefs, and how our thoughts and beliefs impact our words.  The truth is you cannot out think your thoughts, you have to out talk your thoughts! And the best way to change what you believe and think is to say about you what God has said about you!  Join us as we learn how Faith Speaks!

After the Cross

Just how big of a deal was the cross of Jesus Christ? It changed everything!  The cross split time.  It put an end to the Old Testament rules and regulations and opened the world up to receive the incredible Grace of God!  Sadly, many Christians are living their lives relating to God as if the cross didn't do anything.  In this message series we will look at why Jesus was the perfect sacrifice.  We will unpack what it means to truly be forgiven.  We discover the Holy Spirit's power in our lives.  We will learn how to live a life of peace and rest.  We will also see how to rightly divide of the word of truth.  No longer will you read the bible and scratch your head wondering if what you just read applies to you or not!  Join us over the next 5 weeks as we find out what happens after the cross!

Mother's Day

Long before Abraham chose God, God chose Abraham.  In choosing Abraham He also chose his wife Sarah.  We know them by their great example of faith, however, they were human just like us.  It is amazing how some of the experiences and responses of their lives parallel our own.  In this Mother's Day message, Kim Hoyt, our children's director and mom of 3, unpacks how to respond to the Call of God, the Journey of Faith, and the Promise Given.

The Call, The Journey, The Promise

No Perfect People Allowed

Did you know that Jesus did not come to establish a religion but to do away with it?  That's right!  God desires relationship with imperfect people over a performance based religion.  The church is not a museum for the perfect but a hospital for the broken.  When we encounter Jesus we encounter freedom!  Join us over the next 4 weeks as we discover, embrace, and share this freedom through our message series, "No Perfect People Allowed!"

Grace & Faith

In this 3 week series we dive into the word and discover the importance of living in the balance of grace and faith.  Ephesians 2:8 says, "By grace you have been saved through faith..."  The same way we receive our salvation is the same way we receive all the promises of God.

No Greater Love

In 1 John 4:8, we are told that God is love.  Often we think that love is an attribute of God, something that He does, but this couldn't be farther from the truth! God is love and this means way more than you think.  The love of God is the life source for actually living out this Christian life.  In this 3 week series we discover the value of allowing God's love to flow to us, in us, and through us!

The Thief of Purpose

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) says,  "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."  Even though we have been created with divine purpose, many Christians struggle to see it.  There is a thief of purpose that is plaguing the body of Christ and that thief is called Fear!  In this 4 week series we discover the four fears that every Christian deals with and how to overcome them through the finished work of the cross!

Week 1 -The Fear of Failure

Week 2 -The Fear of Rejection

Week 3 -The Fear of Punishment
